To pay tribute to our great city, and our city’s basketball team, Mr Brainwash created an enormous homage to both, right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Featuring star player Kawhi Leonard over a classic Brainwashed background, the player is highlighted mid action amongst a playful splash of color.
Commissioned by the city of Beverly Hills, Mr Brainwash was the featured artist of 2019 for the BOLD city showcase.
For his first major Italian debut, Mr Brainwash was featured in Deodato Gallery in Milan for a spring exhibition. Upon arriving in Italy, he conducted interviews, starred as a guest on Italian chef Allessandro Borghese’s cooking show, and celebrated with Italian singer Fedez. The solo show garnered attention across the city and lines stretched around the block to see the collection of his newest artworks.
In New York City, the Starrett-Lehigh skyrise became a multi-story installation show by Mr Brainwash. Each room was a different exploration of theme and experience featuring never seen before artworks make specially for the occasion. The event was for charity to raise awareness for neck and throat cancer, as all proceeds were donated.
Mr Brainwash made his annual pilgrimage to Art Basel, making a splash with his artwork throughout the city.
To debut a brand-new series of neons on framed mirror and an exclusive edition of over 300 oil paintings, Mr Brainwash charmed London for the “Keep Smiling” solo show.

Mr Brainwash returns to Mexico City with a solo exhibition that highlights a one of a kind mural featuring Mexico’s most famous artist couple; Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.
Mr Brainwash donated a painting featuring some of his most iconic imagery including Albert Einstein, Charlie Chaplin, Kate Moss and Captain America. To date, the amfAR Gala Los Angeles has raised more than $13 million for amfAR’s lifesaving research programs.
